We need as many reminders as we can get, Shane. Just last night I was reading a Christmas "Little People" book to my son, one of those with the flaps and everything. At the end, there was an Advent calendar, but none of the images were remotely Christian except an angel and a gingerbread star. Dec. 25 brought Santa Claus instead of Jesus.
I guess I shouldn't be upset that a secular book company has no interest in the reason for the holiday.

I've been sneaking some night-time sleigh rides, after I visit my Secret Place in my little woods. It makes me laugh. And I see the snow with a child's eyes.
